Toyota Repair: 1995 Camry LE - 11 Questions, toyota camry 1995, automatic transmission cars

Question
Hello,

The car has the following specifications:
· Toyota Camry 1995 LE, Auto. transmission, full options.
· 2200 CC, 16 Valve, passed 112,000 Miles

And the car is in a very good shape

we live in Saudi Arabia, my cousin exported this car 1 week ago from USA, but he did not have its full information or its history!!

My questions are:

(1) I read before that there is something called VIN or something, that can help in getting the car history, is that true? if yes, how can i get that Camry VIN number? Where it is written? and what Internet sites you recommend to get the history using VIN ?

(2) we are not sure if we have Alarm System/Anti Theft !!, but we think we have it but do not know is it working or not, we have a label on the driver left window saying:
"PREVENT A THEFT
Prevent a theft Group of Companies
THEFT DETERMINATION SYSTEM
800-854 6443"
And we have a small red light on the left, (behind of the driving wheel), and above the “open hood “ button, and near to that small red light there is a button, is that mean that I have an active anti-theft? How I can test it or activate it? Can I install a remote control for it?

(3) What is the RPM meter ,and what is used for?

(4) In Saudi Arabia automatic transmission cars has “P,R,N,(D),D,1” gears but in this Camry  we find “P,R,N,D,2,L” gears,  what does the 2 and L means and when I use them? And Where the (D) “The  is DRIVE with OVERDRIVE.”  which is think used for the highways for better fuel economy?

(5) What is the “ECT button” near the automatic gear?

(6) the radio/tape and CD are all original Toyota,  I have a problem with the radio tune, it tunes only frequencies x.1, x.3, ….. x.9, I do not know why, and the radio stations frequencies here in Saudi Arabia are 100, 102 and 96 , so to get these station I get them only on 100.1 102.1 96.1 and of course there are a disturbances in the voice because it is not the exact frequencies of these radio stations, my question is, why It tunes like that? And how I can fix it to get the exact frequencies?

(7) The ABS light is always on even after I increased the brake oil to the maximum! How can I know if the ABS is functioning well , any ideas?

(8) How often does the oil really need to be changed for this car?

(9) we want to keep the car in that very good conditions what are your recommendations for  maintaining this car , do you recommend a site to read more about that?

(10) How can I get the repair manual for that car, is it downloadable some where on the Internet?

(11) Actually we do not know how many cylinders the car is 4 , 6 or 8 !! How can we know this?

Sorry for my many questions,

And thanks so much for your help.

Answer
I will try to help as much as I can.
The VIN# (vehicle identification number) is located on the sticker on the door edge or the door opening frame.
I can't help with the alarm system, it sounds like it is an aftermarket installed system, I can only help with factory installed anti theft systems.
The RPM meter does not do much exept tell you how fast the engine is going regardless of road speed.
Leave the transmission in the "OD" for normal driving for best fuel economy, there is no need to use any of the the lower gear ranges unless you are traveling in snow(not likely in saudi arabia) or mud or sand(very likely).
The ect  stands for "electronically controlled transmission" this means that the shifting of the transmission is controlled by a computer, by switching from ect on or off you can control the shift points of the transmission to a certain degree, there will be a light on the dash that indicates whether the transmission is in the normal or power mode, the default and recommended setting is the normal mode, the power mode makes the transmission stay in each gear longer providing a little faster acceleration.
Can not help with the radio issue.
There is a problem with the ABS system, I recommend that you have someone retreive the trouble code by hooking up to the on board computer to see what the trouble code may be.
Toyota recommends changing oil every 5,000 miles.
The best manual, although somewhat expensive, is available at any Toyota dealer.
It is a four cylinder engine.
