Toyota Repair: throttlle , kickdown and c.c cable adj. 88 cressida, metal tab, shift points

I got the great idea to tune these cables to make the car feel younger!!!!!!!!!!!{THROTTLE,SHIFT,C.C CABLES AND LINKAGES}
well it sounded good at the time.
now the car lags, wont down shift and c.c kicks on and off much more. proper specs.will do ,
or tech tricks .

Answer
The only cable that will affect the shift points etc. is the throttle pressure cable, to try to correct this do the following:
The kick down/ throttle pressure cable has a rubber boot on it.
Peel the boot back off the threaded cable housing
There is a small metal tab on the cable
Adjust the adjustment nuts until there is a clearance of 1mm between the metal tab and the end of the cable housing, this should solve the problem unless there is something else that was wrong that caused you to try to make these adjustments in the first place, if so let me know and I may be able to help more.
