Toyota Repair: brakes, delivering newspapers, brake pads

Question
I have an '02 Tacoma which I use for delivering newspapers every day.  With all the stopping and starting, the front brake pads wear sooner than normal.  I have noticed that the outside passenger side pad always goes first.  It will be almost down to the backing plate and the other 3 pads can be anywhere from 30 - 50%.  Is this normal or do I have another problem?

Answer
Pretty much normal on Tacomas, have the rotors resurfaced and measured to make sure they are not below the wear limit and use factory pads, make also sure that the calipers can move freely on the sliding pins, they need to be lubricated with brake lube or antiseize because they are known to hang up.
