Transmission lock up the wheels causing accident.it was found to be a slow leak in the tranny,talked to four other toyota dealership service mgrs.informed never heard of this.Now, answer me this, why was I able to drive it a mile to a rest stop area? Is this a toyota problem? If u are unable to answer the questions, Please advise where I can get these answers.Thanks Mike, Sorry to bother You again as I am Looking at a $5600.00 charge for repairs.

The RAV 4 doesn't have any chronic transmission problems, I'm not sure what is going on here, one possibility is that the differential ran out of fluid because of a leak causing the differential to lock up, that's my best guess with the information I have.
