Toyota Repair: manual transmission, locknuts, pushrod

Question
Is there a way to adjust the clutch on my 1987 Toyota P/U or is it more likely that the slipping is due to a (too) worn-out clutch?

I usupect the clutch needs replacing....is the job difficult?

Thanks in advance.

Joe

Answer
The clutch is adjustable at the pushrod of the slave cylinder, undo the locknuts and turn the pushrod until there is a little clearance between the end of the rod and the clutch throwout arm, if it still slips the clutch needs to be replaced, this requires removing the transmission, yes, I would say it is a little difficult.
