Toyota Repair: Clutch repair, clutch repair, clutch disc

Question
I believe that the clutch is bad in my 1988 Toyota Celica because it will not accelerate. THe rpm just rev up.  Will I need to buy a whole clutch kit or just one thing.  What tools would I need to replace if necessary.

Answer
Yes it is common practice to replace the clutch kit consisting of the clutch disc, pressure plate and the release bearing, the flywheel may also have to be resurfaced.
There are lots of tools required and unless someone is experienced in this type of operation(the transmission has to be removed) I would have a professional do this repair.
