Toyota Repair: Remote/Keyless entry not working, auto body shop, remote keyless entry

Question
I have a Toyota 4 Runner 2002 (34,000 miles). Recently my car was in a major rear end collision which damaged the rear door and much more, so the rear door, bumper and other parts were replaced. After I got the car back from the body shop the remote keyless entry has not been working. The Auto body shop is unable to figure out the problem and my insurance company wants me to go to Toyota dealer and have them run the diagonistics on it since they claim that this may not be related to the accident. The problem occured only after the accident so what do you think could have happened.
Thanks very much

Answer
Anything is possible after an accident so I'm not going to speculate as to what the problem may be but I do agree that you should have the Toyota dealer diagnose this, it may even be covered under the warranty as long as it was not caused by the accident.
