Toyota Repair: Replacing valve cover gasket., valve cover gasket, release tabs

Question
Hi Ted, Yes it is a v6. I found, an removed another nut at the right end of the harness. Thats a total of 5 nuts so far. The harness is still attached at both ends, and is not movable. The plastic box I talked about is actually the #3 timing belt cover. It has a lid with clips, but I can't open it because a large cable comes from the fire wall and goes through the top of the box. If I can get out of this fix I think I'll hang up my monkey wrench. Thanks Again, Howard Foster

Answer
You don't need to open the box, undo the clips from the inner timong belt metal cover, you can see the release tabs, move the tabs to release them and move the harness out of the way, be sure to disconnect the o2 sensor connector or it will pull apart when you move the harness up so there is enough room to get the valve cover off.
