Toyota Repair: 1993 Toyota Camry, spark plug wires, jumper wire

Question
Hi.  We have a 1993 Toyota Camry. Before we put in any money into the car it would miss real bad when you'd start off driving; unless the car ran for several minutes before taking off. Someone realized that it was a bad coil; so we replaced the coil. At first it seemed to be a lot better, but now the car is back at it's old missing out self again.  When we start the car, we pull out of the drive way and it still misses.  When the car is sitting at idle it sounds funny.
I'm sorry, i can't explain the problems too well, it would be much better if you could ask questions and then I could explain it better.
There is also another problem;  after we got the coil replaced, the horn stopped working.  Might it be a bad fuse, or the horn?
Ok, Thank you for your time; I hope to hear back from you soon.
Oh, by the way, we replaced tons and tons of parts in that car; i remember the last major time it was in the shop it was over $1,000 for all the parts we had done; including a time change belt.  The car now has about 150,000 miles.
Thank you,
Melissa

Answer
It would help for me to know what parts were replaced and any repairs that were made when you spent the $1000, for now I can only take a guess as to why the engine has a misfire, the most common would be the spark plug wires or the spark plugs and the distributor cap and rotor, if those have not been replaced I recommend that they be replaced at this time, if they were replaced already let me know and also give me any information as to what was done previously, the horn is a seperate issue, you can check it by applying 12 volts with a jumper wire from the battery directly to the the terminal if there is no sound the horn is bad if the horn blows check the fuse.
