Toyota Repair: Oil warning big trouble?, oil pressure sending unit, toyota corolla

Question
Hi,

I have a 1992 toyota corolla, manual 5 speed. It has 140k mileage and runs great, except that when I put the shift to neutual, the oil warning light sometimes flickers. It is random and not very often.

I called toyota dealer, the guy told me to use heavy oil when I have oil change done. I haven't done that yet. I don't know if this is the beginning of a bigger trouble.

Thanks

Answer
There are two ways to go about this, replace the oil pressure sending unit and see if it helps(the cheapest way), take it and have the oil pressure tested with a manual pressure gauge, I don't believe the answer is using heavier oil, I think that there is a problem with the oil pressure sending unit, have it replaced and make sure that you change the oil at the same time and use 10w-40 oil, let me know if that helps.
