Toyota Repair: Engine check light, trouble code, electrical problem

I have...1994..Toyota..Tercel…1.5 liter

The engine is running rough and now my engine check light has come on. Owner's manual …Malfunction Indicator lamp…light warns of electrical problem. Any idea what may be wrong for this model year?

Check engine lights come on mostly because of an emission control related problem, I can't tell you what's wrong because I don't know the trouble code stored in the computer, I recommend that you have the code retreived and then let me know what it is and I can steer you in the right direction.
