Toyota Repair: 98 Toyor Corolla, wheel studs, toyota corolla

Hello Paul,

    Is it possible to Remove and Replace the rear wheel studs on a 98 Toyota Corolla at home without any special tools?  If not, what would be required to do this at home?  Two wheel studs are stripped completely and are missing about 1/4 inch of thread. The tire shops want to charge me 60 dollars for the service.  Any info you can provide me with would help a lot.  Thanks for your help.

very simple to do... simply bang them out with an hammer. to install simply put the new ones in and get a few large washers and place the washers before the lug nut and tighten the lugs till the splines are st in the hub. (an air gun works best)1
