Toyota Repair: T-100 3.4 L manual, engine misfire, fuel pumps

Question
My T-100 has 154,000 miles, I took it to a mechanic to install new rotors and pads 2 days ago.  When I was driving home from work that afternoon, I noticed a slight sputter.  Well now it sputters under duress, but starts and runs fine. It was running fine until I took it in.  Could it be a coincidence or could he have messed with something else which caused this problem?

Or maybe it was just a coincidence, and the fuel pump is going out.  Could it be a fuel pump and if so, how hard is it to replace it?  I am short on cash and would like to do it myself if possible.

Thanks

Andrew H

Answer
Replacing brake parts can not cause driveability problems such as this, I'm not sure what the sputtering may be other than there may be an electrical engine misfire, I don't have enough information to be more precise, don't see too many fuel pumps going out on these but it's something you will need to take into a shop or dealer to have diagnosed, most of the time an engine misfire or driveability problem will turn on the check engine light.
