Toyota Repair: air condition ing 1999 Sienn a, toyota dealer, freon

Question
Compressor doesn't kick in.  Fuse maybe?

Answer
The most common cause for this is that the freon pressure is too low because of a leak in the system, the compressor will not engage unless there is sufficient pressure.
The best way to go about this is to have a qualified a/c repair shop(I recommend the toyota dealer)hook up some pressure gauges to diagnose what may be wrong with the system and check for possible leaks.
The only thing I would recommend you do yourself is to buy a one pound can of freon, it comes with a hose and instructions, you can get it at any autoparts place, follow the instructions and put in the freon, if the system is in working order the compressor will start up, but you still may have a leak somewhere.
