Toyota Repair: Removal Tacoma passenger window handle?, spring clip, ext cab

'96 Tacoma Ext. Cab Truck 4 cyl. Am trying to remove passenger door panel. Have run into problem of how to take window handle off without  messing up door panel. Does it just pop off with enough force or is there a trick to removing. Ulimate goal is to replace nonworking door lock unit with used one from parts yard. Thanks!

The window handle is held on with a spring clip that fits into the shaft. Insert the edge a thin towel or rag behind the window crank and move it around while keeping tension on the rag, the idea is to catch the clip opening and pop it off, there is also a tool you can get at most auto parts places.
To re-install it just put the clip in to the groove on the handle and the push it on it will snap into place.
