Toyota Repair: whats wrong, flat tip, brake switch

MY son has a 96 toy camry. It will not shift out of park. how do we fix it?

sounds like the brake switch is bad... there should be a little square near the shifter. just above it on the left or right. take a small flat tip scresdriver and pop off that black square cap. after that stick the screwdriver in a that should release the tranny from park
