Toyota Repair: 2001 Sienna RPM gauge not working, crankshaft sensor, phila pa

Question
Hello - I recently had my Toyota 2001 Sienna LE van state inspected including the emissions test "I live in Phila, PA" and now the RPM gauge is not working. Could it be they disconnected something and forgot to reconnect it? I like to know before I take it to the dealer and have to pay$$$. Thanks so much for your help.

Answer
The tachometer is controlled by the onboard computer based on an rpm signal from the crankshaft sensor, there is no way for me to know if it had anything to do with the test but I would take it back to where the tests were done and tell them about this.
