Motorcycle Repair: Torque setting for exhaust, air fuel mixture, propipe

Question
Hello,
I have a 1991 FXRS Low Rider convertible that currently has Cycle Shack 2-2 exhaust on it, I bought the bike this way.  It runs fine, no backfiring.  I'm going to install a Vance & Hines Propipe and am wondering what torque setting (foot or inch pounds) that I should tighten the exhaust to the cylinder heads.  Also, if I switch to the Propipe would I need to do any carburator adjustments or re-jet?  I don't know if the carburator was changed at all when the previous owner installed the Cycle Shack exhaust.  Thanks for your help, Kevin

Answer
There is no torque setting for the bolts you are talking about. Tighten them up snuggly. As to the carb. I would install a  Dyna-jet kit if you change the pipes. This will rejet your bike and give you more throttle responce. You would also be changing the air/fuel mixture and riching it back up where it should be. You should be able to do the work yourself. Just follow the directions.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
