Toyota Repair: timing belt installation for toyota 4 runner 1997, toyota v6, air conditioning compressor

installation for timing belt, been trying to install when changing water pump am unable to slip belt under pulley, this is not 4 wheel drive,1997 toyota v6 3400 4runner

Answer
There is an automatic tensioner that has to be released before the belt will go back on, it's located under the air conditioning compressor bracket, back out the two bolts enough to get the belt back on then tighten them slowly back in one at a time this will compress the tensioner.
