Toyota Repair: alternator, amp fuse, fuse box

Question
my alternator wiring harness caught fire and melted.  i replaced the alternator and wiring harness and all that will work is the buzzer, interior light, and headlights.  the truck will not start, but will roll off as if nothing was wrong, but the gauges, radio, and fan will not work. could it be a fuse i can not find or did the short fry my computer?  please give any advise you can think of.  thanks.  it's a 94 extended cab,4x4, with a 22re engine.

Answer
In the fuse box under the hood is a large 100 amp fuse, check it and replace if needed, also check the EFI fuse, gauge fuse etc. in other words check all the fuses, the easiest way to do it is with a test light with the key on, just check both sides of every fuse, if one side lights up and the other side doesn't it's a bad fuse.
