1998 Toyota Corolla LE Driver Side Door Opener

Door opens fine from inside.  Power lock works ok.  I purchased service manual - no luck - didn't cover problem.  I am sure it is a simple fix. I was looking for information on how to access the mechanism. I didn't want to start pulling the door apart without knowing what I was getting into.  Is this a repair I should do; or should I take it to the dealer and have it repaired.

Normally this is because the door handle reaining clip on the inside of the door handle came off, or there is a problem with the lock itself, whether or not you should do this yourself or take it to the dealer depends on if you have the tools and the willingness to do it, I don't know,I think the dealer may be the best option.
