Toyota Repair: Starting problem, amp alternator, amp fuse

Question
I have a 1994 toyota pickup v-6 4x4.  The vehicle turns over but won't start.  I have tried putting a new coil, ignitor, ecm, and distributor on this vehicle.  I did not have this problem until I asked someone to check the alternator.  When he was disconnecting the positive battery cable he grounded it with something.  We heard something blow.  It was the 80 amp alternator fuse.  I replaced the fuse.  I am getting no spark.

Answer
Hello Sherri, welcome to my expert page.
When there is a direct short to ground from the alternator wire it not only blows the 80 amp fuse but some others along with it, the best way is to check all the fuses especially the one marked EFI unless you have done so already.
Let me know if you still have the problem after making sure that all the fuses are good.
