Toyota Repair: can it be fix, or has to be replace?, antenna mast, antenna assembly

The radio antenna won't come down like it suppose to when it gets turn off, but I can still hear the motor working each time it gets turn on/turn off.  Now, what are the options do I have?  All comments would be greatly appreciated!

It can be fixed by replacing the antenna mast/cable assembly,the problem is that the cable inside the motor breaks and a piece of it gets stuck inside, this means the antenna assembly has to be removed and opened to remove the broken piece of the cable. The part itself is around $25 and the labor should be about $100 if done at a toyota dealer, depends on where you live, it may be more or less.
