Toyota Repair: Alternator replacement, good luck jack, screw driver

Question
Jack, I am replacing the alternator on a 93 Toyota Paceo. I am having trouble removing the electrical connector to the alternator. I press down on the movable plastic part on the connector but the connector will not wiggle off. I do not want to break the connector. Is there a trick to removing it? Should I try to pry it off with a small screwdriver?  Do you think the small movable part of the connector is not releasing far enough because of dirt on the connector? I would appreciate any advice with this small problem.

Answer
If you are pushing on the release tab you just need to pull a little harder. That tab is all that prevents it from falling out so once its depressed you can use a small screw driver is necessary. Make sure you disconnect the battery before taking any connections off the alt.
Good luck
