Toyota Repair: front wheel bearings, air impact wrench, front wheel bearings

Question
93 carolla need a run down on replacing the front press bearings please thank you mark

Answer
Hello Mark, welcome to my expert page,
The hardest part is to remove the axle nuts they are tightened to about 300ft/lbs and an air impact wrench is needed to remove them, after that the strut mounting bolts are removed and the lower ball joint bolts and the brake caliper and rotor which slides off the hub, once the hub assembly is removed the bearings need to be pressed out and the new one in with a hydraulic press. This procedure is for front wheel drive, if it happens to be a rear wheel drive let me know.
