Tractor Repair: I H 574 PTO REMOVAL, new shaft, flange

Question
I HAVE A 574 INTL. I SNAPPED THE 540 RPM PTO SHAFT OFF HAVE A NEW SHAFT BUT HOW DO I TAKE THE OLD ONE OUT AND PUT THE NEW ONE BACK IN?

im not that well up on this tractor but the shaft might come out if you remove the 3 bolts on the flange around it if it wont you will have to remove the diesel thank so you can lift the top cover off the back end once the top cover is off you will be able to see how it is held in
