Tractor Repair: ac 160 clutch is siezed, clutch disk, clutch pedal

Question
I have an Allis Chalmer ac 160.  It sat over winter and was not run. This spring I went to use it, and the clutch will not engage.  It will start in gear, and drive, but when the clutch pedal is pushed down nothing happens.  What maybe the cause, and can you advise a fix?  This is the first time it has done this in the 20 plus years I have owned the tractor.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Your clutch disk is probably stuck to the plate. Start the tractor in the lowest gear push on the clutch and hold down the brake pedals. This should get the disk free. If not then the linkage for the throw out bearing is probably broken and the tractor is going to need to be split.
