Tractor Repair: Massey Ferguson 150 will not start, massey ferguson, fuel flows

Question
I am a female and bought a 1969 (I believe that is the year-the seller was not 100% sure). Ran good 6 days ago. Yesterday it turns over but does not start. I checked the fuel/gas filter and it was clear. I noticed gasoline dripping from the hose connected to the glass bulb apparatus, but no fuel dripping from the opposite end of the fule/gas filter when I removed to check it. So, I deduct the carb is not getting gasoline. And that is as far as I could figure and do not know what to do next. I have ordered the original owners manuel, but will not get here until Tuesday or Wednesday. Any advice would be muchly appreciated.

Answer
Hello,

The glass bowl and valve can sometimes plug up with dirt where the fuel comes out of the tank.  With the glass bowl removed, fuel should run full stream out of the tank.  If not, the valve will have to be cleaned out.  If fuel flows into one end of the filter, but not out the other end, then the filter may need to be replaced.
