Tractor Repair: New Holland 1630 Diesel, 30 amp fuse, diesel tractor

Question
Tractor died and I can not get the glow plug to come on.  Gauges are working, but the glo plug will not light up therefore the tractor will not start.  Thanks!

Answer
you shouldn't need the glow plug really the tractor should fire up
but you could have a wiring problem so check all fuses inspect the wiring loom also check if you have a good supply of diesel out of the lift pump
my guess is that you have no power to the fuel stop solenoid and the 30 amp fuse for the glow plug is blown so first check the fuses then if they keep blowing you have a problem either the wiring or the glow plug itself at this stage try using it with the glow plug disconnected to see if it is ok without the glow plug if it is ok after this then buy a new glow plug if not its the wiring
