Tractor Repair: clutch adjustment linkage, torque amplifier, clutch adjustment

Question
where do you find the clutch adjustment linkage on a 1966 or 1967  1066 International tractor

Answer
Hello,

On the left side of the clutch housing, there is an arm with a rod and clevis attached to it.  Remove the clevis pin and turn the clevis on the rod until you have about an inch of free travel at the clutch pedal.  Then adjust the dump valve for the torque amplifier by adjusting the length of the long 1/4" bolt that operates the dump valve on the multiple control valve.  It should be adjusted so that when the torque amplifier is in HI, it engages just before the clutch engages as the pedal is being released.
