Tractor Repair: ford 4000 or 5000 series wont go into gear, clutch disk, clutch pedal

i just got this tractor and its been sitting awhile but it fired rite up the pto works lift works and all but it wont go into gear. the clutch peddle was stuck down but i freed it and i push the clutch in and try to put it in gear and it just grinds and wont go in. idk anything about transmissions im just a engine guy. any explanation? thanks in advance. also the guy said it drove fine and everything when it was parked

  Just like several other people that have asked me about a situation like this, your clutch disk is stuck to the flywheel from the tractor sitting for awhile and not being used.  You can try getting it started in gear and while holding down the clutch pedal, hit the brakes real hard and it might break free if the brakes are good.
