Tractor Repair: Bobcat 743B neutral adjust, patience is a virtue, bronze bushing

Question
I have a 92 Bobcat 743B skidsteer that needs the neutral adjusted to keep it from moving when controls are in neutral position. Is this an easy adjustment or does it involve hydraulic repair?

Answer
Adjusting neutral is going to take patience on your part. First you are going to have to raise the loader all the way to the top install the safety support on the loader so it does not crush you to death (that would be bad). Then raise all for tires of the ground and put it on jackstands. Shake the bobcat to make sure it is secure. Raise the cab,  there is a plate on the left side of the hydrostatic drive. Grab the levers and see what is moving. There is several parts that are going to be replaced. Like the bronze bushing that has a bolt going thru it.and the round things on each lever. What to look for is anything that is worn and replace it. After you replace it is to center it. Patience is a virtue it might take a while to figure out what is going on to make it stop creeping. Keyword is "tight" all the lever's should not have play. Like I said it is going to take time. When you think you done move the levers forward and backward with the machine running and see if the tires move at neutral if they don't your done.
