68 ford 2000 diesel, how much oil and what type for oil change? Same for gear oil?

It is really hard to have oil type and capacity's off the top of my head. Try this web site http://www.tractordata.com/td/005/td5150.html  This should help you out. I do not know if the oil in the gear case is gear oil or hydraulic, my advice is to drain it and if it smells terrible and looks thick it is probably a light weight gear oil.
