Tractor Repair: 1947 Ford 9N, blown head gasket, ford 9n

Question
If there is spark going to the sparkplugs, what would make it not start other than a carbuerator problem?

Answer
Well an engine needs 4 things to run air, fuel, compression, ignition.
So you say it has spark, are the wires hooked to the cap in the right order?
You check your air filter or intake for blockage. Last but not least
Your cylinder walls could worn out, broken piston rings could cause loss
Of compression. A blown head gasket will cause the same thing. My advice
Go to your local auto parts store and buy a compression tester.
