Tractor Repair: Diesel in oil IH 464, leak fuel, diesel injection

Question
We had -30 weather and when I started tractor was pumping from blowby. Changed oil and heated injectors and inj.pump ran for 1/2 hour fine. Went to start today and while sitting not running crankcase was full to top of dipstick tube with fuel. Any ideas? Is there a fuel pump on this model? Why does fuel leak to crankcase while not running.
Thanks for any info.

Answer
Hello,

Some models have a lift pump on the side of the engine that pumps fuel from the tank to the injection pump.  It's very common for these to leak fuel into the engine.  By looking at a picture of the fuel system parts breakdown, it looks like your model does not have a lift pump, so the only possibility is the injection pump.  The injection pump will have to be sent to a diesel injection repair shop for repairs.
