Tractor Repair: 53 jubilee, ford 8n, starter solenoid

Question
I was working with the high lift for 30 to40 min. I turned off the engine to do some work of the tractor, when I went to start the engine , nothing, not a click ,buzz ,whine , nothing. I replaced the starter drive a few days ago. Everything was running fine. Itried to cluch start the engine , it rolled over but didnt fire. The battery has a full charge and igntion switch has power in and out. The selinoid has power going in but not out. I owned a ford 8N and jubilee for 35 years ,I've most of my own work ,I've never had this happen  Any ideas?

Answer
Hello,

You verified the ignition switch has power in and out, but you will need to make sure there is power to the ignition coil and that the starter solenoid is getting enough amperage and good ground and that the starter button is good.  Not sure if your starter button works by grounding the solenoid like an 8N, or by powering it, but check the wiring between the starter button and the solenoid.  Also check the battery ground cable where it attaches to the tractor frame.
