Tractor Repair: massey ferg rear wheel lock, massey ferg, diff lock

Question
i have a MF 261 and the rear wheels are locked together and it creates a problem when attempting to turn the tractor.  how do you unlock the rear wheel lock?

Answer
  There is usually a pedal on the right side in front of the seat that you push down to engage the diff lock.   Sometimes the pedal gets pushed down and gets stuck and won't come back up to release the lock.  See if the pedal is stuck down, and if not, then there must be a problem inside the differential.
