Tractor Repair: B414 oil filter, filter number, conversion kits

Hello Arnie. I own a 1966 International MCcormick B414. Every time I change oil I have trouble with the oil filter leaking. Do you know if anyone makes an oil filter spin on adapter for this tractor? Thanks, Frank

   Hello,

   There is a company called Carter & Gruenewald that sells spin-on filter conversion kits for IH tractors, but I don't know for what models.  You would have to contact them and see if they have one for a B414.  Their phone # is 608 455-2411.  Tell them what filter number you have now, engine model, and serial nuumber. If they don't have it for your model, they can probably tell you if any are available and where to get one.  

      Good luck, it would certainly be an improvement over the cartridge filter.  I liked the B414's.  They were a good old tractor.
