Tractor Repair: Cub 2284 - Rebuilt Power Steering box, cub book, steering box

Question
QUESTION: I put the $75.00 seal kit in the steering box due to a terrible leak that soaked the deck with oil.  The leak is gone, but the steering is wrong now.  Only turns left (sometimes), but never right.  I swear I put all of the lines back where they came from.

ANSWER: with the tractor running have someone move the sterring make sure everthing is free to move if it is ok then double check the line  or take the lines off and try to move the sterring if it work then i will have to say air but i have a old cub book around i will look at it and double check  i will be back in touch

QUESTION: Thanks for the reply.  The steering only moves to the left freely.  You have to work pretty hard to turn the wheel to the right.  It looks like the cylinder wants to extend no matter what way you turn the wheel.  Then once you have the wheels turned left, you can't get them back.  We took the lines off at the steering cylinder and turned the wheel.  Much smoother when not connected.  Fluid pumped from the rear line when the wheel was turned and a great deal of air came out.  However, it returned to "bad" after putting the lines back on.  Is there a proper bleeding procedure for this?

Answer
im very sorry i can not think of any bleeding valves the only way i can think of to bleed it would be by the pump but not sure how to do it with out seening it,but if the steering turns easy with out the line hook up then you have narrowed it to the pump or the cylinder just try to screw the lines in a couple of turns the turning the wheel one way then tighting the line up maybe that will helpk bleed the system  sorry i couldent help you any more then this..
