Answer
Hi GAYLENE.
I usually try and start and look for the basic answer have i missed something? And I ask my self --Is this machine new to you? Is it in regular use? Has the rear transmission oil been recently changed? Is it the right grade of oil was the sump cleaned out at the time as rubbish collected in the system over the years could have clogged up the valves on the pump seating.
Did you check the oil level in the first place?
Now doubt you have worked the quadrant up and down with an implement mounted. (Lots)

If none of this works then it may need the hydraulic pump removing and re-seating the valves, on pump (big job)

As to the oil change you seem to be able farm girl why not drain the oil from the rear end! Make sure the container is large enough to catch 30-50 litres of the old oil, keep everything clean, as you may be able to reuse the old oil again! But new oil is best.
The old oil should be reasonably clean /clear no lumps of rubbish or milkiness (water)
Make sure the tractor is on level ground and the wheels blocked.
DO YOU HAVE A MANUAL TRY THE WWW OR EBAY?
Let me  know how you get on.
