Tractor Repair: massey ferguson 135, bleeding a diesel fuel system, massey ferguson 135, diesel fuel system

Question
i put a new fuel filter on my tractor, and now i cant seem to bleed the system.

Answer
Hi Brad.
Might seem a bit obvious but did you switch the fuel off at the tank!
OK are all the connections re tightened and is the fuel getting to the filter ? test by loosening bleed screw at the top of filter and operating the fuel pump up and down on the right side of engine ???
if ok then retighten filter vent and move on to injector pump/distributor loosen small nut on the side of pump, and operate fuel pump again, fuel should have reached this point by now .
if ok tighten this small nut, try to start engine in normal way.
if it refuses to start --loosen the large nuts at top of the fuel pipes on the injectors just 1/2 turn only.
turn engine over again and watch to see fuel coming out of pipe connections, at injectors !
When fuel appears at this point tighton nuts and it should be running!
ITS A CASE OF GETTING THE AIR OUT OF THE PIPE WORK. IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF US.
