Tractor Repair: long hydraulic lift, metric fittings, pressure gauge

Question
my rear hitch will not lift.changed filter, pulled pressure line off pump, spun it over oil comes out.pulled pressure regulator took it apart it is clean.oil comes out where regulator screws in.i do not have a pressure gauge that will fit the metric fittings on the valve.i can place my finger over the hole where the regulator screws in spin it over and it will push my finger off.i feel sure that it has pressure.is there a cylinder inside the case that could have a blown seal?i do not have a book to look at.i do not know what is inside there.this is a long 2460 tractor.ther is also some sort of load sensing spring on the rear.looks like leaf spring bent in a u shape.i am not sure how this works.supposed to raise blade automatically if it gets in a bind i think?i just need a little advice before i tear into it ...thanks

Answer
There are many seals inside that can go bad and cause this type of problem -- It sure sounds like you have narrowed the problem down .. - What you shold keep an eye open for is a hyd plunger with seals on it  -- this more than likely will have a damaged seal

Thank you.
