Tractor Repair: riding mower wont run after primary belt change, wethington, v twin

Question
After replacing a broken primary drive belt on my Craftsman 4000 with 25-horse Briggs V-twin, the mower engine started.  I took off mowing, making about one round with deck working and cutting just fine.  After a couple of minutes, the mower completely quit.  I tried to restart the mower and absolutely nothing happened.  It wouldn't even try to start.  The mower acted like one does when you try to start it with the PTO engaged.  The mower is over 2-years old.  Everything seemed to be turning freely when I replaced the primary belt.  I just replaced the secondary drive belt about a month ago.  Both plug wires are attached.  I haven't pulled the plugs yet to check.  They were both replaced at the end of last year.  The battery is the original, but I'm doubting that this is the problem?  Do you think there is a problem with the PTO?  And what are your recommendations for repair?

Thanks,
Derek Wethington

Answer
Derek is the pto still engaged if not it could be the seat switch is all the wires on the machine.
Have you tried to jump start the tractor to see if it is the battery.
Try it that may be it it is hard to work some of these things out you will need to check all the connections and switches to see that is all I can say.
