Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Ignition Control Module, oldsmobile 88, 6 cylinders

Question
1995 OLDSMOBILE 88
6 Cylinders 231 K 3.8L SFI
I've had to replace my ignition control module twice in the past 6 months. Now it looks like I have to replace it again. Is there something I should looking at as a cause for it going bad? I got both modules from autozone could they have both just been bad parts. Both were Wells brand and both only lasted about 2 1/2 months.
Thanks A lot for your help.

Answer
hi chris.well i hate to say it but you get what you pay for.but unfortunanelately they have you hooked on the warranty.but ask them this time for the better module wells or borg and warner are reliable parts.unless you sit around a lot with key on and eng off there is not really much that can cause repeated failure.but you should be sure you have good wires and plugs this time and this will help..please rate my help ty billymac
