Tractor Repair: Craftsman Lawn Tractor 19.5HP, craftsman lawn tractor, axle assembly

Question
The Model # is 917.270810. I have had problems with the steering. The front drivers side wheel was turning too far on left turns. When I checked it I found that the axle assembly was cracked so that the spindle was moving inside the axle assembly. My problem came when I tried to remove the axle assembly itself. I cannot budge the bolt holding the axle assembly to the tractor. I think this would be a relatively simple repair if I could loosen that bolt. Is there a trick to this?  Do I have to cut it off? Or is there a tool out there I am unaware of that can remove this bolt?
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Mike you could try to do this hit the head of the bolt with a hammer this could jar the thread to loosen the rust.
Then you could put a spanner (wrench) on the bolt and move it gently tight and then loose this should then undo it a little each way is the best using some penertraiting oil.
Short of that you could put some heat from a flame gun to heat it and then try to undo it as before though move it forward and back as if you try to undo real hard it may break the bolt.
As a last resort cut the bolt off and fit a new one.

Mike sorry about the wrench bit as I am In Australia we say spanner.
