Tractor Repair: leaking fuel pump B414, sparex, ford tractor

Question
Danny,

My father has an old B 414 that is leaking copious amounts of fuel out of the fuel pump. I think that it is a mid 60's model as we bought it 2nd hand in 72.  Do you know why/how and how to repair?  The fuel pump has never been apart.  Where can he access a diagram/part numbers and where is the best place to get parts.?  Do you think that it it a seal problem or what?  Is is straight forward?

Any help would be appreciated thanks.  Dad also has an old steel wheeled Ford tractor stamped made in Detroit.  Any idea how old it would be (it don't work)

Thanks
Keith Johnson

Answer
Keith I am in Australia we have a couple of companies here that do after market parts for the older tractors I am not sure where in the world you are ?.
In Australia the companies names are Bare & Co,Sparex,Vapermatic and Bepco these companies do have branches in the states if you are there have a look at the Bare & co site we sell there products here in australia and they sponsor my daughters race car.
here is the web address http://www.bare-co.com/

Have a look at the Lasts and Last web site www.lasts.com.au

Regarding your older tractor without some pictures it would be hard to have a idea of how old it would be.
