Tractor Repair: diesel tractor smoking, auto electrician, diesel tractor

Question
We have a Cub Cadet 28hp 4 wheel drive diesel tractor that is smoking terribly. The smoke (blueish white, not black) is very thick at the initial starting (it is also hard to start)and does disipate some after it runs for a bit. But the smoke is continous and even though not as visible it still smells and if working in an enclosed area it is quite noxious. My husband added diesel injector cleaner as this had been suggested, but it does not appear to have made much, if any, difference. What do you suggest we try now? What do you think the problem might be? It only has about been about 50 hours since the last oil & filter change and the tractor is about 7 or 8 years old with about 250 total hours on it.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Answer
Cyndi hi im Danny you cub cadet we do not get in Australia but from the description of the smoke I would say the cold start glow plugs are broken or the electrical current is not getting to them you would need to get an auto electrician to look and see if power is reaching the glow plug and if it is replace the glow plugs as they do burn out from time to time.
