Tractor Repair: Ford 3930 wont start, fuel pump selinoid, ford 3930, model tractor

Question
replaced switch three months ago worked intermitenedly for a while, what is the small relay between the switch, glow plug and starter, dose this also run to the pump selenoid.-------------------------

no power to solenoid while cranking have to jump with power lead to start, has power with key in the on position and runs fine after removing jumper

Butch hi Danny here sounds like the ignition switch has a fault in it and this can cause your problem you may need to replace the ignition switch with a new unit.

Butch i'm not sure how that system works you have as we do not get that model tractor in Australia.
All you could do is get a wiring diagram of your tractor and trace the wires through from it and see if the relay is in the circuit and may be a wire is damaged internally.

Im sorry I can not help any further with your problem as indicatted above it is not a model we get here.
