how long should it take an experienced mechanic to remove and replace the transmission without overdrive

Hi David,

Don't have the flat rate on the TR-4a but I do have the flat rate on the TR-6 and I have pulled both in the past and they come out the same way. The flat rate for the TR-6 is 5.4 hours to remove and replace and I remember both being about the same time as I always worked on flat rate pay. It was only about 30 min more for an overdrive model.

Unless you have altered the interior of the car it should be able to be done in under 6 hours. I remember it being about a five and a half hour job.
