Triumph Repair: Clutch slave cylinder to the clutch lever?, clutch slave cylinder, clutch lever

Question
1972 spitfire...went to replace the slave cylinder and the clutch push rod came out with the slave cylinder! Nothing was attaching it to the clutch lever. The push rod has a circular end and obviously is supposed to attach to the clutch lever w/ some sort of pin. Am I right here? Should I just get a bolt and attach it thru the clutch lever?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi Eric,

Yes, there is a pin that holds the clutch slave cylinder rod to the clutch arm inside the bell-housing.

You will need to pull the transmission to gain access to the clutch arm to replace the pin.

You may be able to remove the two bolts holding the slave cylinder mount and you may be able to see where it fits but I don't think you can reach the arm well enough to put a pin in to hold the rod.
